Sotheby’s

1334 York Ave New York, 10021

The New York City branch of Sotheby’s auction house is not inferior to its London "parent”, either in size or significance. Sotheby’s was originally opened in London in 1744, and New York followed some 200 years later, in 1955.

There are approximately 100 auctions per year at Sotheby’s New York: impressionism, modern art, and fine jewelry.

Interested in attending an auction? The website of the New York City office of Sotheby’s has a list of upcoming auctions, and you can register online. If you have additional questions, please contact Sotheby's.

Sotheby’s is located at the intersection of 72nd Street and York Avenue. If you don’t choose to participate in the auction this time around, check out Sotheby’s Wine, a store in front of the building auction, after having studied their range of wines online.
