The Museum of Modern Art

11 West 53 Street New York, NY 10019

The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) is located on 53rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue.

The idea of creating this museum belonged to the wife of John D. Rockefeller, and was successfully implemented. The museum was opened in 1929, a week after the market collapse on Wall Street. Having survived through incredibly hard times, today this museum features the leading work in the field of contemporary art: architecture, design, drawing, sculpture and cinema.

MOMA features works by Marc Chagall, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Claude Monet and many others.
