Have you seen the movie "Night at the Museum"? It was here at the American Museum of Natural History. The museum was founded in 1869, and is one of the most interesting museums in New York. Their site has a list of current and upcoming museum exhibitions.

Very diverse exhibits are featured at the museum: from the butterflies and frogs to the earthquake research and the results related to the study of the universe. Despite the fact that the museum also has exhibits dedicated to ancient dinosaurs, the building is equipped with the very latest technology.

Entrance to the American Museum of Natural History is on the 'Suggested Admission' basis: the recommended admission fee is $22, but you can pay as little as $1. Or you can pay more to support the museum, which is primarily funded by sponsorship money.
