Purchase Process

Step 1 - Choose show and enter your information

Choose the musical or play you want to see, then select the date of the show and the number of tickets you want to buy. Once the tickets are added to your cart, you will be prompted to enter personal and payment information.

Make sure that the name you enter fully matches the name as it appears on the photo ID of the person picking up tickets, to avoid confusion at the box office. If you buy multiple tickets, you only need to supply the name of the person picking up tickets.

Once you click "buy", your order will be placed.

Step 2 - Confirmation email

After you place the order (card information, name and email of person picking up tickets, click the "buy" button), you will receive two emails from New York Online:

Email #1 - Confirmation that your order has been received. Email #2 - Confirmation voucher. Also includes information about the performance (start time, address, a map of the theater's location, etc.).

These two emails usually come within a few minutes, though it can take up to 24 hours.

Step 3 - Exchange your voucher for a ticket at the box office

Your voucher (contained in a .pdf file attached to the email) must be exchanged for tickets at the theater box office. The name entered at checkout must match the name of the person picking up tickets at the box office (the box office will ask for a photo ID). Ticket vouchers should be redeemed on the day of the performance, no later than 1 hour before the show starts.

Please look for "Will Call", or "Box Office", or "Tickets" window at the theater (it’s different at different theaters). If you need help just ask the theater staff.

You do not need to print out your confirmation voucher — a copy of the confirmation voucher on your mobile device is acceptable.
