Classical music

2018 Symphonic Masters series selects the world’s best orchestras from America’s West Coast to Scandinavia, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel bringing Bernstein back home (with some Beethoven, too). The London Symphony Orchestra, led by Simon Rattle in his first New York appearance as its music director, will present Mahler’s final three masterworks. Plus, the inimitable violinist Joshua Bell returns with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.
